Fruition Google Penalty Checker – Tool accesses your Google analytics program and calculates the probability your website has been affected by a Google penalty. Can check two URL’s at no charge, paid program for more.
Google Grump Rating – Highlights unrest in Google’s algorithm, free to use.
Moz Change History – While not technically a tool, this list maintained by Moz keeps track of Google’s updates. If you notice a dip in rankings, check to see if an update has taken place.
Panguin Tool – Connect your Google Analytic account and you will be able to chart your traffic. The Panguin tool offers suggestions on why you’re seeing a dip in traffic, no charge to use.
Rank Ranger – Offers an algorithm resource page that updates each time there is a confirmed and suspected change to the search algorithm. Easy to read charts, free to use.
SEMrush Sensor– Search results are checked for a fixed set of keywords by industry, changes are measured daily. High scores mean there have been a lot of changes in rankings, low scores mean the opposite. No charge to use this part of their tool.
